- Description
- Rebel Conservative MP, Sir Anthony Meyer faces an anxious Christmas before learning whether he will be re-adopted to fight his Clwyd North West seat at the next general election. The local party is split over his challenge to Margaret Thatcher for the party leadership and although he escaped a no confidence motion at an angry executive meeting last night, feelings are now running high in the constituency. Mark Gayer(?) reports.
