- Company Chairman Victor Matthews expresses his delight at the successful launch of new national newspaper the Daily Star. Editor Derek Jameson defends the use of photographs of topless women to sell newspapers. Women’s rights activist Anne Porter says there are already enough papers selling women rather than news. Local National Graphical Association (NGA) spokesman Paul Salts says there must be talks over workers’ futures, but that workers would not endanger the paper. Includes fanfares and music.
