- Report on Michael Rocky Ryan’s claim to be working on behalf of a major American film company on Hail Mary, the story of the Yorkshire Ripper. Ryan says he has met with Peter Sutcliffe. Robert De Niro, Pat Phoenix, Jack Palance and Billie Whitelaw have been linked to the project, although denials have been issued by Whitelaw’s agent Joy Jameson and United Artists British spokesman Phil Day. Doreen Hill, the mother of Sutcliffe’s final murder victim Jacqueline Hill, says she will oppose any attempt to produce such a film. Male reporter not identified.
