- Alderman Herbert Sandford, chairman of Westminster Councils’ Piccadilly Circus subcommittee, describes a scheme for the redevelopment of the Piccadilly Circus site in central London. Three schemes are underway to pedestrianise the area, which Sandford claims will change the tone of the area. The scheme came under opposition from Labour MPs, but Sandford won the fight for the redevelopment. Male interviewer not identified.
