- Description
- Brian Hayes interviews on law and order. Steve Barrett, Chairman of the Metropolitan Police Federation, argues that there are not enough policemen and that their responsibilities have increased, with more paperwork. He also comments on police pay concerns, including compensation for not being able to take industrial action, and on being treated as a special case. Dr Richard Clutterbuck talks about the recent growth in political violence in Britain, and discusses the Grunwick strike with Jack Dromey, Secretary of the Brent Trades Council, who played a central role in the dispute.
