Description
TV Eye documentary for Thames Television on Colonel Gaddafi, presented by Peter Gill. Includes an interview with the Libyan leader, who says accusations of his country’s links to terrorist groups are propaganda but admits Libya trains freedom fighters in Palestine, Zimbabwe, Angola and Namibia. Also includes actuality of a parade of troops returning from Chad to be greeted by Gaddafi, Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and Chad President Goukouni Oueddei, and mention of the military clash between Libyan fighter jets and the USS warship Nimitz and the assassination of Egyptian President, Anwar Sadat by Islamic fundamentalists.
