Description
The final hour of Brian Hayes’s final programme for LBC. Hayes speaks to Dave Curry of the International Whaling Commission about the half-a-million dolphins that are killed each year. Curry aims to achieve international security for the dolphins through his campaign, Friends of Dolphins. Callers ring in with questions and comments on Prince Charles (who has a broken arm), the state of British tennis and the dolphin crisis; however, most calls are about this being Hayes’s last show, and critical of LBC and the likely future of radio broadcasting. Clip also includes news reports by Martin Young, Tony Benn and Brian Widlake, on a mass breakout attempt by prisoners at Wandsworth Prison, illiteracy among British seven-year-olds, and the poor state of Britain’s beaches. Also financial news, weather and travel with Gavin McWhirter(?), and commercial breaks.
