- Artsweek regular show presented by Sue Jameson. Includes interviews with Peter Benedict on his production of Christopher Marlowe’s The Jew of Malta at the Donmar Warehouse Theatre and his previous play Satyricon. Penelope Lively on her book Next to Nature, Art. Michael Hastings on his play Tom and Viv based on the marriage of T S Eliot and Vivienne Haigh-Wood, at the Royal Court Theatre (interview by Bob Holness). Poet Gerard Benson will perform alongside Gene Phillips in Music, Poetry and Love at the Purcell Room in the Southbank Centre on Valentine’s Day, he performs the poem Something about Being Understood. Oboist Catherine Smith from Sheba Sound on being invited to appear at the Venice Carnival. George Best and Mary Stavin on their record It Takes Two, released as part of Shape Up and Dance, and gymnast Suzanne Dando on the scheme. Victoria Wood on her show Lucky Bag, part of the Theatre of Comedy season at the Ambassador Theatre. Music played includes Moonlight Sonata by pianist John Lill; Viva and all That by Gordon Langford; Victoria Wood singing Love Song.
