Monty Modlyn visits the Old Covent Garden market in central London following the relocation of the old fruit and vegetable market and during the regeneration of the site as a shopping and restaurant complex. Asher, Asher’s wholesalers, Neal’s Yard; unidentified male manager, Neal’s Yard health foods; Fat Freddie, male busker outside Bow Street Magistrates’ Court; Norman Hiller, Covent Garden Cycles; Charlie Robinson, jeweller and armour-maker; unidentified female manager at Theatre Zoo theatrical costume shop; unidentified male ironmonger; Colin Davis, Covent Garden Opera House. In two parts, divided by break in audio. Sound largely in mono.
