- Special show presented by Brian Hayes on the Scottish referendum of 1979 to decide whether there was sufficient support for the Scotland Act 1978 among the Scottish electorate. This was an act to create a deliberative assembly for Scotland. For the Act not to be repealed at least 40% of the electorate would have to vote yes in the referendum. Members of the political parties and the GLC discuss the referendum, and take phone calls from the public. Speaking are: David Geary; Conservative Party spokesman Lord (Peter) Thorneycroft; Peter Jenkins of The Guardian; Illtyd Harrington of the GLC; Tim Brinton, Tory Parliamentary candidate for Gravesend.
