Description

Press interview with male speaker (poss. James Pitt) about the Hyde Park and Regents Park bombings (20/07/82). The attacks struck British Army ceremonial military targets in the centre of London, killing 11 soldiers and wounding over 50 people. This was one of the first major bombings in London since the Balcombe Street Siege 8 years before, and much of what happened was caught on camera and replayed around the world, with scenes of dead men and horses heaped in Hyde Park. From a series of news clips from the 1980s used in a retrospective compilation at the end of the decade.
