Description
A documentary, presented by Brian Anderson, which tells the story of the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989 which culminated in the Tiananmen Square Massacre, referred to in China as the June Fourth Incident. Anderson spoke to student protesters, teachers and members of the general public in the Tiananmen Square area in May 1989, and reflects on differences between Chinese and British broadcast media. Programme includes crowd noise, chanting, etc. and contemporary news reports from Chinese radio.
