Description
Documentary presented and produced by Peter O’Connell on the aftermath of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus 8 years ago. Jack Leighton, a British citizen living in Cyprus, recalls the invasion, and even has the sounds of the fighting on a pocket dictaphone. The programme debates whether the British should have helped with military force, and includes a debate in the House of Lords on the subject. The Cypriots voice their opinions, with the aim of reunification, and are against partition. Speaking are Humphrey Atkins MP, Foreign Secretary Francis Pym.
