Documentary on phobias – their cause and treatments. Includes interviews with consultant psychiatrist Dr Nasir Ali; GP Dr Jane McPherson (?); psychotherapist Norman Lee who runs Phobias Confidential; hypnotist Ray Edwards; Sarah Woolf(?) who suffers with koumpounophobia (fear of buttons). Also interviews with unidentified sufferers of agoraphobia (public spaces), acrophobia (heights), ornithophobia (birds), aquaphobia (water), arachnophobia (spiders). Also discussed: cynophobia (fear of dogs), mysophobia (germs), aichmophobia (knives), aerophobia (flying), pteronophobia (feathers) and claustrophobia (enclosed spaces). Also includes trailer for Fright Night and The Thing; song I’m Scared by Brian May; a poem about wasps. Female presenter not identified. Ends abruptly halfway through a sentence. Programme came second in student competition.
