Description

Reading of the first part of Chapter One of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Excerpt recounts Ebenezer Scrooge in the counting house of Scrooge and Marley on Christmas Eve with his clerk, his meeting with his nephew and two gentlemen collecting funds for the poor, and finishes before Scrooge returns home to meet the ghost of his dead partner. Concludes with a choir singing the carol God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. Male reader not identified (poss. Robert Stephens).
