Career
Bill Nixon was a freelance cameraman based in Bristol, who supplied material to Movietone. Nixon’s first credit is for ‘GATEWAY TO WALES’ in No.1808A of January 1964, and he continued to be credited for domestic stories, many of them from Wales and the west of England. Nixon covered the Aberfan disaster for Movietone, providing ‘AFTER ABERFAN?' for British Movietone News No.1951A of October 1966 and ‘ABERFAN: THE FINAL TRIBUTE’ for No.1952 of November 1966. Nixon’s credits continue regularly until ‘POWER BOAT RACING’ from Bristol in No.2300A of July 1973.
