Career
Bill St Leger was a freelance cameraman based in Ireland and first credited as working with Jock Gemmell [qv] of Pathe News on the Irish local ‘CUP FINAL REPLAY - DUBLIN,' added to Pathe News No. 59/34 of April 1959. He continued to provide regular Irish stories until ‘BLAST WRECKS FLOUR MILLS’ in Pathe News No.61/81 of October 1961. St Leger was later credited as cameraman for two Movietone items on the Grand National, namely ‘TRAINING FOR THE NATIONAL’ in British Movietone News No.1756A of January 1963, and ‘READY FOR THE NATIONAL’ in No.1814A of March 1964.
