Fred George was a cutter who seems to have begun his career at British Movietone News with Issue No.1629A of August 1960. However, this is the only issue that he is credited for at Movietone. He then worked on the Pathe News, where his credits begin with ‘CHRISTMAS CHEER’ in No. 60/103 of December 1960. He worked on over eighty stories, ending with ‘ALEC ROSE, GUEST OF HONOUR AT SPORTING CLUB’ in No. 68/56 of July 1968. He certainly continued working at Pathe until 1966 but it’s uncertain when he left.
