History
Kinocrat Films Ltd made several issues of Looking At Britain, a black and white series of films produced by the Central Office of Information (COI) [qv] for the Colonial Office [qv]. These were usually produced and directed by the managing director of the company, Gerald Cookson. One of their earliest credits is for ‘FORESTRY’, Looking At Britain No.3, released in 1960. The company was also responsible for producing, between 1959 and 1960, two further magazine series for the COI for distribution in the Middle East, People And Places and Report From London.
