Career
Bill Hammerton was an editor on the ‘news magazine’ Calendar (1964-1969) and seems to have been responsible for the Commonwealth version. This was made by British Movietonews Ltd, and from 1965 by Kay (West End) Laboratories Ltd, on behalf of the Central Office of Information (COI). His earliest credit is for ‘TROOPING THE COLOUR’, Calendar No.170, released in 1966.
He also worked on the COI science magazine series Living Tomorrow (1969-1983)and Tomorrow Today (1969-1974). His earliest credit on both series is for ‘HIGH VOLTAGE SAFETY SUIT’ Living Tomorrow and Tomorrow Today No.12, released in 1969.
