Alan Hewison was credited as cameraman for four stories in 1953: ‘OUT COLD’ in Mining Review 6th Year No.8 of April, ‘DERBY RAM’ in 6th Year No.9 of May, and ‘COAL WELL USED’ and ‘WASP’S NEST’in 6th Year No.10 of June. It is likely that he was a freelancer hired by DATA [qv] to cover these stories.

In 1965, he was credited as cameraman, working for Eyeline Films Ltd [qv], for ‘RADIO ASTRONOMY’, Frontier No.9. This was a science series produced for overseas distribution by the Central Office of Information [qv] and sponsored by the Commonwealth Relations Office [qv].
