John Sharples was credited as cameraman for two Mining Review stories, ‘A STORY FROM SOUTH WALES’ in 16th Year No.6 of February 1963 and ‘A STORY FROM NORTHUMBERLAND’ in 16th Year No.8 of April. It is likely that he was a freelancer hired by the NCB Film Unit [qv] to cover these stories.
