The General Dental Council is the organisation which regulates dental professionals in the United Kingdom. All dentists, dental hygienists and dental therapists must be registered with them to work in the UK.
In 1977, the council sponsored an issue of the National Coal Board’s [qv] cinemagazine, Review, entitled ‘STAGE A SMILE’, to illustrate the dental care of the young.
