The Special Features Division of the Rank Organisation was established with the decision to end Gaumont British News and Universal News in November 1958. One of the first major projects for the division was to produce the new weekly colour cinemagazine Look at Life, the first issue of which was released on 22 March 1959. Under production head Ted Candy [qv] the series continued for almost a decade with the final issue released on 16 February 1969.
