The actor and director Lionel Ngakane was one of the regular presenters of the ‘New Commonwealth’ versions of London Line, a magazine programme produced by the Central Office of Information [qv] for the Commonwealth Relations Office [qv]. These editions were shown in countries which had recently joined the Commonwealth, primarily in Africa and the Caribbean. He appeared in one of the earlier issues, ‘Plastic Macs’ London Line No.113, released in 1966.
