Zakiya Powell was a researcher and writer for This Week In Britain (1959-1980), a magazine programme produced by the Central Office of Information (COI) [qv] for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office [qv]. One of her earliest credits is for ‘KENTISH FARM’, This Week In Britain No.849, released 1975. She also directed issuesfor another COI series produced at this time, London Line (1964-1979), such as ‘BRITISH LIBRARY’, London Line No.540, released in 1977.
