John Mantell worked as a cameraman on the cinemagazine This Is Britain, produced by the Central Office of Information [qv] for the Board of Trade [qv]. His only existing credit is for ‘BRITAIN’S NEW RESOURCES’, This Is Britain No.45, made by the Crown Film Unit [qv] for overseas distribution in 1950. He was later credited with the photography for ‘THROWAWAY SOCIETY’, an issue of the colour cinemagazine series Look At Life, released in 1968.
