Scott-Job was credited as commentator for British Movietone News No.2003A in October 1967, acting as relief for Movietone’s regular commentator, Leslie Mitchell [qv]. His employment is similar to that of Peter Nerreter [qv], C. Hamilton [qv], and C. Reed [qv], all of whom were tried out at this time. Peter Hampton [qv] recalled that Fox were tired of Mitchell and wanted a ‘more modern voice’ for the reel. A number of commentators were tried out, but only Nerreter was any good.
