George Westbrook is credited as soundman for four British Paramount News stories during 1953: ‘ACADEMY AWARDS: HOLLYWOOD PICKS BEST’ in No.2307, and an untitled piece in No.2310 both in April; ‘UNITED NATIONS ASSEMBLY. MRS PANDIT PRESIDENT’ in No.2355 of September and ‘FRENCH LINER RESCUES TWENTY-FOUR IN ATLANTIC’ in No.2357 of October. He was a member of the American Paramount staff, whose footage was used by British Paramount on occasion.
