History
Oil Review was produced by Greenpark Productions, for the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company Ltd., under their trading name, BP. BP described it as ‘a screen magazine about oil; how we get and use it and how essential it is to every one of us.' Issues described modernisation work being carried out by the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company at their bases in the Middle East, their processing works in Europe, and the uses of oil at home in Britain. Eighteen issues were produced between 1950 and 1953, released bi-monthly on 16mm, through the Petroleum Films Bureau. They were also used for internal relations purposes within the company.
