Description
Blast! Films is making a new BBC television series, with the working title ‘Secrets of the Museum’. With privileged access behind the scenes at the V&A, this Series will tell the stories of some of the most fascinating objects within the collection. Through the eyes of the keepers, curators and conservators and staff who lovingly look after them, the Series will follow museum staff as they repair, clean, conserve, redisplay, acquire and transport objects. Through these processes, we seek to illuminate how the object was made, the history of the objects and the relationship the object has with the V&A and its staff. Behind the scenes at the Victoria and Albert Museum, priceless Raphael paintings give up their secrets. Keeper James gets hands-on with Beyonce’s ring and Queen Victoria’s coronet.
