- Description
- Springwatch is bringing live wildlife action from across the UK. We have cameras poised to allow us a live and privileged view into the springtime dramas of our nesting birds from Norfolk, the Isle of Mull and the north east of England. With spring in full swing (or is it summer?), our nests are full to bursting. It’s a season of new life. As well as all our live nest cameras, the programme showcases some of the season’s most recognisable stars. Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan reveal some new science about toads who make a mammoth migration in spring and look at the lifecycle of a particularly revolting parasite. Iolo Williams takes a live look into the underwater world around the coast of Mull and some of the most enigmatic birds that visit the island at this time of year: puffins. Megan McCubbin looks one of the wildlife success stories in Kielder Forest - pine martens who have spread from their Scottish stronghold, into the North of England.
