Lonely Bereavement
Broadcast Info

Description
People diagnosed with a terminal illness often describe feeling abandoned - that people who were once friends now avoid them. It can be difficult to know what to say to someone facing death, but it’s better to say something than say nothing at all. People who’ve been bereaved often report similar experiences, with former friends and colleagues seeming to ignore them, for fear of saying the wrong thing. We’ll explore how to have those difficult conversations, and how to support people facing death / recently bereaved.
