Description
We report from the European Space Research and Technology Centre in the Netherlands and get to grips with their future plans. We join astronauts on Mars - only these ones are just practicing - deep in the heart of the Utah desert. The mental and physical strains of exploring the Red Planet are explained and a bold plan to introduce greenhouse gases to cause Martian global warming revealed. But what about unmanned exploration? We find out about Bepi Columbo the latest mission to Mercury. To boldly go where humans can’t we catch up with Voyager One as it enters interstellar space. At the sharp end of space innovation we travel to New Mexico to meet teams building elevators to the stars and learn about NASA’s plans to use asteroids as refuelling depots!
