Reduced Shakespeare Company: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)

Alternative title
Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)
Synopsis
A special video performance of the theatrical hit that playfully spoofs Shakespeare. The three actors of the Reduced Shakespeare Company draw on their classical (and clown school) training to squeeze all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays and the sonnets into 90 minutes. They dispense with the comedies in one fell swoop (because the tragedies are funnier), treat Othello as a rap song, Titus Andronicus as a cooking show, and the histories as a football game. Recorded for showing on PBS but this version includes some sections that were not broadcast.
