Synopsis
Documentary. Filmed on location in Stratford-upon-Avon, explores the house, places and people linked to Shakespeare’s life, including the birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s cottage, Mary Arden’s house, Palmers farm, New Place, Halls Croft, Nash’s house, Charlescote Park and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. The life of Shakespeare is presented and narrated by Ian Richardson, with readings from his plays and poems by Judi Dench.
