Synopsis
Trevor Nunn, Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, interviews actors about their interpretations of Hamlet. Program 1 (55 mins) investigates major scenes through actor commentary and production excerpts. Nunn then interviews each actor about the source of their interpretation. Part 2 (56 mins) discusses the psychological dynamics of Hamlet, the oedipul conflict and Hamlet’s madness, feigned or real.
