- Synopsis
- Television arts documentary series. Marking the 400th anniversary of Othello, the programme explores interpretations and performance history of the play. Includes extracts from the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 2004 production at the Swan Theatre with Antony Sher as Iago and Sello Maake Ka-Ncube as Othello. There is comment from Jonathan Miller who does not perceive Othello’s blackness to be an important issue in the play.
