Synopsis
Television arts documentary. Michael Hordern talks about the role of Prospero. He speaks of the challenges that the role presents, emphasising Prospero’s humility and compassion. He fears the dangers of indulging in the beauty of the verse and talks of his dislike of a too intellectual an approach. Passages from I ii and Iv i and the epilogue are performed in the studio.
