Synopsis
Television documentary. Eight years after completing WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE’S ROMEO + JULIET, director Baz Luhrmann challenges a group of young and mainly black people to come up with their vision of the play. In four weeks, 20 untrained actors from Harlesdon in north-west London must rehearse a production of Romeo and Juliet for a performance at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. Through a satellite link Luhrmann inspires and encourages the cast and their novice director, Paterson Joseph. as they prepare for their opening night.
