Lucy Meets the Burtons
- Synopsis
- US sitcom. Guest appearances from Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. Richard Burton had recently bought Taylor a 69-carat diamond ring, a gift which features prominently in the episode (Lucy gets the ring stuck on her finger). Burton, dressed as a plumber to escape his fans, is caught by Lucy to repair her tap. Burton, as the plumber, recites lines (with some edits) from Richard II , "For God’s sake, let us sit upon the ground"(3:2:151-166) in the bathroom.
