- In the TWENTY MINUTES interval programme, broadcast between Acts I & II, American scholar Harold Bloom talks to Julian Evans about the character of Falstaff (see separate entry). DVD extras include the plot summary broadcast by the BBC, interviews with Bryn Terfel, Bernard Haitink and Graham Vick, and a news feature about the extensive renovations to the stage machinery of the Royal Opera House which was originally broadcast by the BBC prior to the house’s reopening in Dec. 1999.
