Synopsis
Schools television series in nine-parts on Macbeth presented by John Lord. The series examines the murder of Duncan. Various aspects of the structure and characters of the play are discussed with some scenes performed. Episode 2 asserts that in killing Duncan, Macbeth destroys the natural order and that the King is God’s regent on earth. Looks at how through his dramatic poetry, Shakespeare portrays Duncan as a gracious and noble man.
