Romeo and Juliet

Synopsis
First episode of a five-part schools programme series that attempts to makes Shakespeare accessible to children by having well-known actors perform and comment on key scenes from Shakespeare’s plays which are placed in a twentieth-century setting.
This episode focuses on Romeo and Juliet, Act III, scene V and is set in an unspecified tropical country. Marcelle Duprey, who plays Juliet, examines the character of Juliet and compares how she has been portrayed by different actresses.
