- The Radio Times notes, the 30-minute broadcast presented viewers with a selection of various motifs of Tchaikovsky’s fantasy overture, commented on by Vic Oliver, conductor of the British Concert Orchestra. The aim was to bring music to the people and people to the music. The programme ended with a run through of the work as a whole.
