Othello

Synopsis
The last scene of Jean Meyer’s Comedie Francaise production of Othello at the Old Vic Theatre, London, was re-enacted for television in a two-day rehearsal. Starring Aime Clairond and Renee Faure in the lead roles, the French performance was introduced, in English, by Michael St. Denis. The stage production was directed by Rene Mathis and adapted for television by Eric Fawcett. With music by Louis Beydts. Eric Robertson conducts the BBC Orchestra.
