- Alternative title
- RSC Director Adrian Noble Announces His Resignation
- Synopsis
- Television news and current affairs programme presented by Jeremy Paxman. The programme includes a forty minute studio discussion following Adrian Noble’s resignation as Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Lord Alexander of Weedon, QC, Chairman of the Board, says Noble was not sacked and praises him for his service. Kim Evans, Executive Director of the Arts Council, believes that Noble has given sufficient notice of his departure so a proper handover can be made. Evans defends the Arts Council and says they will only give the RSC more money when their plans are sufficiently robust.
