- Romeo and Juliet
- Synopsis
- Current affairs series. Includes item (c7min) in which Glyn Worsnip talks to Ron Daniels about the production of Romeo and Juliet he is directing for the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Aldwych Theatre. The modern-dress production plays the balcony scene at ground level, arguing that the balcony-dress circle audiences would not be able to see were the scene to be played at a higher level. Judy Buxton (Juliet) and Anton Lesser (Romeo) believe the scene to be more romantic played this way. Glyn Worsnip concludes the report speaking of the various ‘gimmicks’ the RSC has used in the past.
