- Following a five-minute introduction, the third Act of Verdi’s comic opera (the second of the pranks played upon Falstaff), is broadcast live from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. The Royal Opera House Orchestra is conducted by Sir Thomas Beecham. Robert Ainsworth is the Chorus Master. Caesare Formichi sings the title role.
