Nomad
- Synopsis
- Feature film. Jack is a nomad, a homeless street performer who recites Shakespeare’s soliloquies each afternoon on street corners around Denver. He moves around the urban landscape with his best friend, an ageing dog named Bones. Lucy is a university theatre student. She listens to Jack’s performance one afternoon and, fascinated, follows him. They begin an unlikely friendship. Lucy travels to various locations to hear Jack’s performances, accompanying him afterwards to his bench. She is intrigued by his knowledge of Shakespeare, manner of living, and the fifteen perfectly organised bags he always carries with him beneath his bench. They spend their afternoons discussing theatre. Through an unforeseeable chain of events, Jack confronts the boundaries of his carefully constructed life.
